We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2020, at the age of 94, Marietta Yvonne James (New Canaan, Connecticut), born in Drakes Branch, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Walker and Elizabeth Banks Walker; her son Lemuel James (Lem); and her siblings, Evelyn Bartee, Marshall Walker, William Walker and Cecil Walker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beatrice James Watkins (William), Jennifer James Venneri (Daryl Cooper) of Westchester, NY and Pamela James of Norwalk, CT.; her grandchildren, Michael James (Natasha), Barrett Venneri, Rocco Venneri and Toran James; her great grandchildren, Anabel James and Fallon James; her daughter-in-law Charlise James; and her brother Shedrack Walker of Virginia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
