John Alexander Edwards Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2023, John Alexander Edwards of New Canaan, Connecticut, born in Greenwich, Connecticut passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Alexander Edwards to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Alexander Edwards and Reid Grandy Edwards; his wife Katherine Edwards; his children, John Alexander Edwards III (Geraldine Edwards) and Melissa Edwards Pearson (John Pearson); his granddaughters, Caitlyn, Hayley Edwards, Katherine and Margaret Pearson (Mae); his sister Dorothy Doran (Robert Doran); his nieces, Susan Doran and Kathy Gesualdi; his great-nephew Reid Gesualdi; and his caregiver Neville Travers.

We are deeply indebted to John's caregivers, most especially Neville Travers, for the years of compassionate care which enabled John to fight his battle with Parkinson's at home and with dignity. A celebration of John's life will be held Sunday January 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm, First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, 178 Oenoke Ridge Rd. Considering John's love of creating homes, the family suggests contributions to Habitat for Humanity.
