Gertrude L. Benko Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude L. Benko (New Canaan, Connecticut), born in Ridgefield, Connecticut, who passed away on August 17, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank E. Lown and Almira Leonard Lown; her husband John W. Benko, Jr.; and her brothers, Frank E. Lown Jr. and Leonard B. Lown.
She is survived by: her sister Edith Lown Linger of New Canaan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Music Fund at St. Mark's or the New Canaan Ambulance Corps.
