He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Platt and Lucy Platt (Grice); and his siblings, John, Derrick and Agnes "Nancy" Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Diane of Stafford Springs; and his sister Mary Markowski of New Britain. He is also survived by his siblings a brother.
