It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matea Santiago (New Britain, Connecticut), who passed away on September 24, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Joaquin Saavedra; her daughters, Nelly Santiago and Maria Del Carmen Santiago; and her brothers, Jeronimo Saavedra, Alejandro Saavedra, Efrain Saavedra and Joaquin Saavedra.
She is survived by: her parent Antonia Arroyo; her children, Jose A. Santiago (Sonja), Jaime Santiago (Lydia), Adam L. Santiago, Luis A. Santiago, Albert Santiago, Alex Santiago and Amalya Santiago Leonard (Michael); and her siblings, Luis Saavedra, Ramona Cruz, Carmen Arroyo, Maria Santos, Ada Rivera, Maria Ayala and Maria Santana.
