With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Birritteri of New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on February 6, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her spouse Emanuele Birritteri; her parents, Rosario Musumeci and Giuseppa Micale; her siblings, Santino, Felice Musumeci and Santina Briganti; and her daughter Palma Buccheri.

She is survived by : her children, Joe Birritteri (Dante) and Josie Birritteri of New Britain; her children-in-law, Cecelia Birritteri of New Britain and Vincenzo Buccheri of Berlin; her grandchildren, Sylvia Buccheri Sznaj (George) of Berlin, Anthony Buccheri (Michele) of East Hampton, Emanuele Birritteri (Allison) of Simsbury, Maria Luisa DonAroma (Joseph) of East Hampton, Joseph Birritteri (Jennese) of New Britain and Michael Birritteri of New Britain; and her great grandchildren, Daniela Emanuela, Nicholas, Vincent, Robert, Izabella, Joseph, Gianna, Giuliana, Sophia Marie, Mia, Anthony, Angelina and Santino. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
