It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois (Keniston) Penney (New Britain, Connecticut), born in Medford, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Keniston and Ruth Keniston (Dixon); and her husband Rev. Hugh B. Penney. She is survived by: her children, Hugh (Susan Penney), Bruce (Jan Penney), Paul (Angela Penney), Shakeela Penney of Milford, CT and Kurt (Andréa Penney). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
During her many years in New Britain and Cromwell, Lois volunteered for numerous eleemosynary agencies including South Church of New Britain, Center Church of Hartford, The United Church of Christ, Women's Fellowship, Larrabee Fund Association of Hartford, Literacy Volunteers of America, New Britain YMCA, RSVP and the New Britain Museum of American Art.
