He is survived by: his wife Gerhild Walter; and his children, Gert-Paul (Kathy) of Massachusetts, Christopher (Clara) of Maryland, Andrew (Jen) of Maine, Katelynn of Canada, Denis of Connecticut, Samantha of Oregon, Max of Oregon and Audrey (Dan) of Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or to St. Jude's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
