He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Martinez and Maria Martinez (Zayas). He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Martinez and Janet Martinez; and his siblings, Hector Martinez, Jose Martinez II, Edwin Martinez, Domingo Martinez, Daisy Martinez, Gladys Martinez and Evelyn Martinez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
