He was predeceased by: his parents, Rivers and Rose McCalop, Sr. (Kinsey); his brother William "Albert" McCalop; and his siblings-in-law, Gladys McCalop (Martinez) and Willie Thornton.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Anne McCalop; and his siblings, Rivers McCalop, Jr. of Bristol, Marion Middleton of North Carolina and Shirley Jean Thornton of Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
