He was predeceased by: his parent Charles J.; and his wife Marie Louise "Mimi" Merritt. He is survived by: his parent Thelma Merritt (Vincent); his children, Mark Merritt and Laurie Vigil; his brother Harry Merritt of New Britain; and his nephew Francois "Fa" Merritt of Newington.
