She was predeceased by: her brother Alan Johnson of Arizona; her brother-in-law John Carrubba; and her parents, Robert Johnson and Josephine Johnson (Caginello) of Kensington, CT.. She is survived by: her husband Salvatore J. Carrubba Sr. of Kensington; her sons, Joseph R. Carrubba of Florida, Anthony J of Berlin and Salvatore F. Carrubba Jr. of Berlin; her daughter-in-law Mary Gotlibowski of Kensington; her grandsons, Joseph Anthony of New Britain, Ryan Nicholas of Meriden and Niko "Salvatore" Carrubba of New Britain; her great grandchild Joseph Amante of Colorado; her siblings, Nick Johnson of Nevada, Robert Johnson of Farmington, CT, James Johnson (Maria) of New Britain and Nancy Blake of Plainville, CT.; and her sister-in-law Marie Carrubba. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
A celebration of Gert's life will be held once the pandemic is over.
