He was predeceased by: his parent Dennis Barrett; his wife Teresa "Terry" Barrett (Jakobowski); and his brothers, William, Thomas and Alfred.
He is survived by: his parent Margaret Barrett (Shelton); his daughters-in-law, Thomas Barrett, Nancy Barrett of New Britain, Richard Barrett and Loretta Barrett of Southington; his grandson Matthew Barrett of New Britain; his siblings-in-law, Robert Jakobowski, Georgia Jakobowski and Lorraine Barrett; his daughter Paul Walsh; his friend Tony Bowan; and also Debbie Morell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
