He is survived by: his parent Marguerite Otto (McClure); his sibling Tau Kappa Epsilon; his daughters, Jennifer Otto of New Britain, CT and Meredith Otto of Port Orange, FL; his grandson Wesley Otto of New Britain, CT; his brothers, Robert Otto (Virginia) of Wellesley, MA and Richard Otto (Elaine) of Cumberland, RI; his nieces and nephews, Robert Otto, Matthew Otto, Andrew Otto, William Collingwood, Christopher Collingwood, Kate Chebly, Diana Fitzgerald and Tami Collingwood; his friend Theri Japko; and also, Nancy LaBahn and Rosemarie Collingwood-Cole.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust, which supports physical and psychological rehabilitation programs that provide direct service to ill, injured, or wounded veterans.
