He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Slate and Ellen Slate (Macker); and his siblings, Jane Kunemund and Donald Slate. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Slate (Traczynski); his children, Walter Traczynski III, Sara Traczynski, Diane, Carl Traczynski, John Traczynski, Barbara Kijanka and Linda MacDowell; his grandchildren, Joshua Traczynski and Ashley Smykla; and his great grandchild Samantha Traczynski.
