It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolann Merrill (New Britain, Connecticut), who passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sr. Natzke and Eleanor Natzke (Foley); her uncle Don; her mother-in-law Florence Merrill; and her close friend Sis Olander.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Shorty" Merrill Sr.; her children, Ruth Bogden (John) of Berlin, Richard Jr. Merrill (Karen) of East Hampton and John Merrill (Channan) of Deep River; her grandchildren, Matthew (Carissa), Alaina Bogden, Crystal Merrill (Daniel), Kelly Merrill, Justin Burgess (Christine), Jocelyn Burgess, Sean Merrill (Cat) and Kayla Merrill; her great grandchildren, Aria Burns, Vera Bogden and Lincoln Burgess; her siblings, Linda Martin (Wayne), Donna Majewski (Al), Robin Sanseverino, Faythe Leone (Walter), Hope Larson (Phil) and Robert Natzke Jr. (Marge); her pet Sammy; her caregiver Nancy; and also Keira Merrill.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The CT Audubon Society or a charitable organization of their choice.
