She was predeceased by: her parents, John Halisey and Mary Halisey (Anderson); her husband Normand H. Surprenant; and her children, Normand J. Surprenant and Janet Kearney.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Surprenant (Michael Cipriano); and her grandchildren, Trevor Kearney, Michelle Dibuono, Stacy Magowan, Garrett Dumore and Mignette Bogue. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home (1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Rose Hill Memorial Park (580 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067).
During those years Barbara was active in the community, participated in school functions and charity work.
