He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Ogonowski and Józefa Ogonowski (Orzol); and his brother Leon. He is survived by: his siblings, Agnes (Mike), Maria (Zygmunt), Ana (Andrzej) and Eugeniusz; and his aunt Otylia (Jan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
