Rogerio left this world on February 26, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Gomes and Maria Joaquina Vilar (DeJesus); and his siblings, Joaquin Vilar, Emilia DeJesus Vilar, Palmira DeJesus Vilar and Maria Isabel Silva.
He is survived by: his spouse Ines Vilar (Almeida); his sons, Adelino Vilar (Maria) of Wolcott, Jose Vilar of Naugatuck and Fernando Vilar (Kristen) of Watertown; his grandchildren, Elaina, Alicia and Lillian Vilar; and his brothers, Manuel Vilar (Maria DoCarmo) of Naugatuck, Fernando Vilar (Laura) of Portugal and Americo Vilar of Portugal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (2071 Baldwin St, Waterbury, CT 06706). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. James Cemetery (249 Cross St, Naugatuck, CT 06770).
