He is survived by: his wife Maxine Thorne (Clady); his children, Brittany Thorne of Naugatuck, Robert Gene Thorne III of Naugatuck, Johnny Smith of Bayside, NY and Melissa Thorne; his siblings, Brenda Fitzgerald (Jim) of Waterbury, Bonnie Jones (David) of Danbury, Eva Thorne (Brian Dube) of Danbury, Gertrude Dlubac (Joe) of Danbury, Cynthia Thorne of Danbury, John Thorne of Danbury and Eugene Thorne of Danbury; and his grandchildren, Adrianna, Caeson, Gianna, Aliyanna and Elizabeth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
