He is survived by: his wife Denise Simmons; his daughters, Kristina Simmons and Alexis Simmons; his stepchildren, Lisa Johnson, Michael Johnson and Christopher Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Michael Johnson, Jr. and Hailey Johnson; and his siblings, Sandy Simmons of Arizona, Gordon Simmons of North Carolina and Belinda Benincasa of Greenwich, CT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
