He is survived by: his parents, Richard Kiley and Cynthia Kiley (Matthews); his son Joseph Matthews, Jr.; the mother of his child Jessica Rebeiro; and his siblings, Brendan Thomas Kiley, Steven Kyle Szabo, Megan Marie Daniels, Briana Lyn Toomey and Sarah Elizabeth Szabo. He is also survived by two nieces and five nephews.
