Howard E. Thurston Obituary

In loving memory of Howard E. Thurston of Naugatuck, Connecticut, who departed this world on February 4, 2025 at the age of 87. Howard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Francis and Helen Thurston (Dowling); and his siblings, James F. Thurston, Jr. and Barbara Thurston Engle. He is survived by: his wife Janet Thurston of Naugatuck, CT; his children, Michele Thurston Dashner (John) of Geneva, IL, H. Todd Thurston (Maureen Shea) of Barrington, RI and Deborah Thurston of Naugatuck, CT.; his grandchildren, Michael Dashner (Martina), Matthew Dashner, Keegan Dashner, Maxwell Thurston, Owen Thurston and Molly Thurston; his great grandchild Gray Marie Dashner; and his cousin Howard.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home (82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck, CT 06770). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (318 Church St, Naugatuck, CT 06770).
