She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony DeCola and Mae DeCola (Avena). She is survived by: her children, Sean VanDeusen of Naugatuck, Christine Sedita (Jack) of Prospect, Kim Arbour of Branford and Andrea Ward of New Haven; her grandchildren, Jack, Joshua, Isabella and Ashley; her great grandchildren, Sunny and Luci; her siblings, Salvatore DeCola of Wallingford, Rochelle "Rocky" Santangelo of Ivoryton, Joan DeCola-Tetreault of New Haven and Marie Braziel of Naugatuck; and her children, Shirley Spear, Paul Munko and Jennifer Tully. She is also survived by spouses and many nieces and nephews.
