He was predeceased by: his parents, Orazio Ciarlo and Anna Ciarlo (Vaccaro); and his siblings, Thomas Ciarlo and Felicia Barbieri. He is survived by: his wife Amelia Ciarlo (Mazzeo) of Naugatuck; his sons, Robert Ciarlo (Debra) of Gilmanton, NH and Joseph Ciarlo (Mary Beth) of Wolcott, CT; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Michael and Nicole Ciarlo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
