He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao Chipelo and Carolina Chipelo (Mala); and his brother Antonio Chipelo. He is survived by: his wife Ligia Chipelo (Morales); his children, Beatrice Chipelo (Robert Guerrera) of Wolcott, Alfred Chipelo Jr. (Stacy Pyshna) of Naugatuck and Rosa De Sousa (John De Sousa) of Naugatuck; his siblings, Jose Chipelo (Kathleen) of Torrington, John Chipelo (Connie) of Naugatuck and Maria Vieira (Jose) of St. Augustine, FL.; and his sister-in-law Rosa Chipelo of Naugatuck. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
