He is survived by: his children, Lynn Gannon of Ledyard, Sheila Gannon of Mystic, Julie Gannon Thompson (Lon) of Mystic, John Gannon of Colchester and Thomas Gannon of East Hampton; his grandchildren, Gina Sacco Velez of Stonington, Elizabeth Thompson of Los Angeles, CA, Caroline Thompson of Glastonbury, Emily Thompson of Nashville, TN, Hillary of Colchester, Johnny Gannon of Colchester, Erin of East Hampton and Benjamin Gannon of East Hampton; his great grandchildren, Violet and Vivian Velez of Stonington; and his brother Joseph Gannon of Sterling.
William Joseph Gannon, educator, musician, tennis instructor, and true Renaissance man, died Sunday morning, May 3, 2020, of COVID-19.
