He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick and Charlotte Whittle; and his siblings, Elizabeth Whittle Hill, Dorothy Whittle Duguid and Robert Whittle.
He is survived by: his siblings, William Whittle (Yvonne) of Mystic, Cecelia Whittle Basque (John) of Fort Myers and Carol Whittle Pratt of Mystic; and his aunt Marjorie Brooks of Groton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
