She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Henry and Clare Ray Carter; and her siblings, Joseph R. Carter of Shrewsbury Mass and Dorothy Pfau of Huron, Ohio.. She is survived by: her husband Douglas McKay; her children, Bruce McKay (Suzanne), Andy McKay (Nancy) of Mystic and Barbara Whitehouse (Paul) of Niantic; her grandchildren, Kim McKay (Aron Gyuris) of Swamscott Mass, Michael McKay (Jessie) of Waterford, Drew McKay of Milford, Sean McKay of Chicago, Ill and Amy Whitehouse of San Diego, Calif.; her great grandchildren, Katarina McGyuris and Landon McKay; her sister Jane McCance (Presley) of Williamsburg; and her friend Joanna Case of Mystic.
