Martha Childs Sproul Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2020, at the age of 87, Martha Childs Sproul of Mystic, Connecticut, born in Princeton, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Professor Harwood L. Childs and Willa Childs (Whitson); her spouse L. Edwin Sproul, Jr.; her sisters, Elisabeth Childs Rowse Graham and Margaret Childs Armstrong; her children, Elisabeth Sweet (Jeffrey) of Sharon, MA., L. Edwin III (Francine) of Groton and Jonathan (Mystic) of Boston; and her grandchildren, Nathaniel, Anna, William Sweet, Samantha and Morgan Sproul.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held later in the Fall.
In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to the Mystic & Noank Library or Lyman Allyn Art Museum in memory of Martha C. Sproul.
