He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Priscilla (Miner) and Edward L. Sawyer; and his brother Dick Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Logan Sawyer (Ibby); his children, Edward L. Sawyer, II (Carrie), Jack, Wyatt and Jane S. Whipple (Timothy); his grandchildren, Lucy and Henry; and his brother Art Sawyer.
