John C. O'Brien Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2023, at the age of 89, John C. O'Brien of Mystic, Connecticut, born in West Hartford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan; his parents, J. Cyril O'Brien and Esther Cullen O'Brien; his children, Jennifer O'Brien of Stonington, Brendan O'Brien of Stonington, Betsy O'Brien Luchars (Jim) of Newton, MA and Ted O'Brien (Lucy) of Stonington; and his grandchildren, Sam, Margot, Tristan, Ian, Ivy, Teddy and Martin. He was also cherished by his four children and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Westerly Hospital Foundation (25 Wells St., Westerly, RI 02891) or the Stonington Free Library (20 High St., Stonington, CT 06378).
