He is survived by: his wife Lisa Nelson of Groton; his mother Penny Nelson of Mystic; his siblings, Lori Nelson of Groton, Dr. John Nelson (Loren) of Stonington and Mitchell (Joyce Soivenski); his nieces and nephews, Christian, Ava, Ashley, Sydney, Mariah and Vianna; and also, Ruby, Sabrina, Emmie and Bella.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff's memory can be made to the Connecticut Humane Society.
