He is survived by: his wife Pat; his son Matthew Short; his granddaughter Kayla Chapman of Mystic; and his siblings, Nancy S. Barrett (Leonard), Joseph R. Short (Jeannette), Jon F. Short, Lois Worley (Kenneth) and Heidi Morris (Doug). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
