He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Reynolds Avery and Grace Avery (Lockwood); his wife Sally Avery (Bazzano) of Mystic; his children, James Avery Jr. of New London, Jasmine Avery of Killingly, Justin Avery (Bonnie) of Woodstock and Jade Avery of Central Village; his siblings, Grace Morin (Art) of Maine, Fred Avery (Annemarie) of Texas, Rhonda Thayer (Jerry) of Conn, Diane Meriwether of Conn, Debra Joseph of Conn, Denise Denis, Carol Williams (Scott) of Conn, Sheila Rusiecki (Mike), Thomas Avery (Nadine) of Conn, Janice Beauregard (Randy) of Mass and Ricky Avery (Tammy) of Conn; his stepfather Thomas Main; his son Joshua Avery; his brother Dennis R. Avery; his grandchildren, Coby, Hunter, Alexis, Donovan, Jamey, Braydon, Iyana, Payton, Liam, Bentley and Hailey; his mother-in-law Lena Bazzano; his siblings-in-law, Rody (Lucille), Tom (Sandy) and Carla (Mike); and his friend Clarence Walden (Donna). He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
