With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James A. Gabarra of Mystic, Connecticut, born in Barrington, Rhode Island, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Mildred (Langlois); and also, Guido, P. J. DeAngelis, Anthony Annarumo and Barbara Goward.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Meredith (Woods); his children, Jim (Carin) and Sandra; his son-in-law Joseph Fuller; his grandchildren, Tyler (Lexi), Abigail, Talia Gabarra, Evan, Kelly Sandgren, Patrick (Kelly) and Matthew Fuller (Julie); his great grandchildren, Emmett and Connor Fuller; and his sisters, Janice Wold (Dave), Sue Patterson (Dan), Linda DeAngelis and Carole Proodian (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mystic Funeral Home (51 Williams Ave, Mystic, CT 06355). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
