We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2023, at the age of 91, Geertjen Hoets of Mystic, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, A. M. De Decker and Geertjen Stuy-De Decker. She is survived by: her spouse Pieter J. Hoets; her sons, Hendrik and Anthony Hoets of Mystic, CT; her granddaughter Jeannette Ascroft-Hoets (James); her son Pieter B. Hoets (Megan); her siblings, Lous De Decker and Peter De Decker; her nephew Dr. Erik Holzer (Hetteke Hoets); her children, Paul, Anniek Van Donkelaar and Kathy Hoets; and her grandson Erik Hoets.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to Darien EMS Post 53, P.O. Box 2066, Darien, CT 06820.
