He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Hayes and Ellen Hayes (Landers). He is survived by: his sisters, Monnie and Kally; his wife Katherine Hayes (Moynihan); his family, Mary Kay, James Pappas, Nancy, John McCarrick, Tricia Reyda, Meghan, Matt Meikleham, Kat, Keegan Mehlhorn, Andrew, Nicole Pappas, Jake, Lilly Pappas, John Pappas, Molly Reyda, Caroline Reyda, Nelle Mehlhorn, Hayes Meikleham, Van Mehlhorn and Luke Meikleham; and his son-in-law Joseph J. Reyda.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (22 Broad St, Stonington, CT 06378).
In lieu of flowers, Gifts in memory of Ed's name can be made to the Joe Reyda '85 Fund at Gonzaga College High School, 19 Eye Street, NW Washington, DC 20001.
