He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Agnes Benson (Bobsien) and Carl Edward Benson, Sr.; his wife Lillian Marie Stevko of Irvington, NJ.; his sister Agnes Taylor; and his children, James Benson (Ruth) of Hendersonville, NC, Joni Rylander (Mick) of Bristol, Susan Picken (Chad) of Groton, Mary Slater of Mystic and Kathy Benson of New London. He was also cherished by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carl Benson's name to Hartford HealthCare at Home Hospice, 227 Dunham St, Norwich, CT 06360.
