He was predeceased by: his spouse Anne "Nancy" O'Connor; his daughter Claire O'Connor; and his sister Mary Alling. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen O'Connor, Jane Sobek and Robert E. O'Connor, Jr. (Bob); his grandsons, Wyatt A. O'Connor, Nicholas H. Sobek, Cole R. O'Connor, Duncan L. Sobek and John L. Merrill; and his brother Daniel O'Connor (Pat). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
