We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Sue C. Holmes of Moosup, Connecticut, born in Elwood, Indiana. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucinda Heflin and Lavon Heflin; her husband John Holmes; her son Sean; and her brothers, Max (Peggy) and James Heflin (Loretta) of Indiana.

She is survived by: her daughters, Meghan (Jesse Koslow) and Michaela Ware (Aaron); her stepdaughter Donna Freeman (Craig); and her grandchildren, Ryan (Joanna), Matthew Freeman (Alayna), Hannah Whitford, Moira and Sally Ware.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to causes close to Sue's heart Rhode Island 4-H Foundation Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island (Gifts will be split between local and national organizations.) COVID-19 Precautions: The family respectfully requests that you wear a mask to visitation.

“Dear Meghan and Michaela... Your mother and I had spoken in early October, so I was "dumbfounded" and saddened to learn of her passing. Now, I kick myself for having waited so long to have reached out for a "chat" after her relocation back to CT. We had so much to discuss and share, especially regarding our common HEFLIN Heritage.
