It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Newell (Moodus, Connecticut), born in Brockton, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 15, 2019, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmont Newell and Constance Newell (Allen). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Newell (Penkes); his children, Daniel Newell of Florida and Rebecca Gowac of Moodus; his siblings, Cheryl Malcolm of Middlefield, Tammy Archer of Durham, Lisa Burtt of Durham, Donald Newell of Durham and Greg Newell of North Branford; his granddaughters, Sabrina, Ashleigh Newell, Mallory and Madelyn Gowac; and his great grandchild Harper. He is also survived by numerous other extended family and friends.
