Leona Gowac Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona Gowac of Moodus, Connecticut, born in Willimantic, Connecticut, who passed away on August 25, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Skinger and Mary Skinger (Sadeski); her husband Joe; her grandchildren, John (JJ), Kimberly, Kristen, Nicholas, Joseph, Jillian, Sarah, Monika, Erika, Edward (EJ) and Mary; her great grandchildren, Maeve, Willa, Miles, Kole and Violet; her brother John Skinger; her sisters-in-law, Sophie Skinger and Frances Parkus; her cousin Leonard Skinger; and her brother Edmund Skinger. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Haddam Ambulance Association or the St. Bridget's Ladies Guild.
