Catherine Hunt Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Hunt of Moodus, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 103. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Catherine Hunt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Higgins Rice and Daniel Rice; her siblings, Doreen, Mary, Maureen, Isobel, Peggy, Irene and Danny; her daughter Margaret Dean (Maggie); and her granddaughter Julie Dean.
She is survived by: her daughter Joanne Maynard (Hunt); her son-in-law Kevin Maynard; her grandchildren, Karen Maynard (Jay Bordwell), Kathleen Kuo (Tony Kuo), Kelly McAlpine (Kevin McAlpine), Grace, Aidan, Kylie, Kara, Bree and Lexi; her nephew Denys Shorthouse (Bobbi Shorthouse); and her cousin Valerie Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Spencer Funeral Home (112 Main St, East Hampton, CT 06424).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the East Haddam Senior Center or East Haddam Historical Society, two places very close to her heart.
