He was predeceased by: his parent Peter Lavitola; and his former wife Veronica. He is survived by: his spouse Juliana; his parent Grace Lavitola; his nephew Jeffery Kenny; his children, Robin Rivera, Wendy Richard Sr (James) and John Litts (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jason DeLuca (April) of Alabama, Lindsay Thayer (Art), James Richard Jr (Anya), Kaytlyn Richard, Zack Albert, Rachel Rivera, Jake Litts, Elise Rivera and Courtney Litts; his great grandchildren, Arthur James, Thayer DeLuca and Caroline Drew DeLuca; his sister Madeline Kenny of New Jersey; his nephew Brian of New Jersey; and also, Hospice, Branford and Marie Faccone (James) of Arizona.
