Baker of Monroe, Connecticut, born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2024 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter G. Baker of West Street; her parents, Russell Clayton Mitchell and Ethel Gertrude Mitchell (Bumpus) of New Canaan, CT.; her brother Roger E. Mitchell of Mississippi; her niece Charlotte; and her nephew William Mitchell (Rusty).

She is survived by: her stepmother Mary Mitchell (Hoyt); her children, Michael Allen Smith (Sharon) of Bonita Springs, Florida., Katherine Caposella (Smith) of Monroe Ct and Jeffery Smith (Vicky Scirocco) of Hamden Ct; her grandchildren, Scott Smith, Brad Smith, Stephanie Smith of Bonita Springs, Kristin Leest (Martin) of North Charleston, Amanda Young (Jared) of Stratford and Sara (Chris Snyder) of Austin, TX.; her sister Bonnie O'Dell of Bristol; her daughters, Kelly, Tammy and Lori; her stepbrother Howard Mitchell; and her children, Bobby Baker (Caroline) and Sherri Mondo (Josh).
