He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold M. Stanton and Sarah Pero Stanton; his children, Robin Runkle and William Stanton, Jr.; his son-in-law Dennis Rotan; his great grandchildren, Emerson and Jackson Runkle; and his siblings, Marion, Harold, Ann, Florence, Arlene, June, Lois, Betty, Donald, David and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Margery Elizabeth Stanton (Jackson); his daughters, Lynne Stanton Rotan, Kathy Boughter (Thomas), Kristin Conway (John) and Amy Besante (Robert); his son-in-law Edgar Runkle; his pet DeeDee; his grandchildren, Bill, Sarah Boughter, Katherine Klingerman (David), Jonathan Runkle (Erikka), Elizabeth Runkle (Katherine), Abigail Conway-Malins (Justin), William Conway (Margaret), Thomas Conway, Caleb Fischer (Becca) and Benjamin Fischer; his siblings, John Stanton and Carol Duda; and his sisters-in-law, Geraldine DePaulo and Kay Korman Schultz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
