She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Edward Slaughter and Gertrude Slaughter (Rothschild). She is survived by: her sister Nancy; her husband Henry W. Anderson; her cousin John Slaughter; and her family, Brian, Erin, Matthew, Millie and Susan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She ultimately re-located to New York City to join the global headquarters of the Institute of International Education, a world-renowned organization which manages international educational exchange programs under Ford Foundation and other grants.
