He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah "LeCleir" Hardt; his parents, William Hardt and Alice Hardt; and his brothers, William (Diane) and John Hardt.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Hardt Jr. (Dina), Jennifer Zuppe (Al) and Keri Dempsey (Martin); his grandchildren, Dante, Mia, Taylor, Alyssa, Finnegan and McKenna; his siblings, Lee Casey, Tim Hardt (Sherri) and Keith Hardt; and his mother-in-law Virginia LeCleir. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
