He was predeceased by: his son Patrick Vitale III; his brother Thomas L. Vitale, Sr.; his sister-in-law Olga Vitale; his sister Grace Rowland; his brother-in-law Steve Rowland; his brother Jerome Vitale; and his sister-in-law Barbara Vitale.
He is survived by: his wife Marceline Hatfield Vitale; his children, Michael Vitale, Laurie Vitale and Tina Capozzi (Steven); his grandchildren, Michael Vitale Jr., Timothy Vitale (Danielle), Patrick Vitale IV, Hannah Kinsella (Riley), Jaime Capozzi and Gianna Capozzi; and his great grandchildren, Christian Vitale and Coral Vitale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
